Once an individual feels they have studied and obtained the appropriate level of knowledge, they can register at www.stage5cycling.com to take the written exam. The written exam can be taken at any time. Attending the Stage5 Cycling Indoor Cycling Instructor 2-Day Workshop is NOT required in order to take the exam, but is strongly recommended.

Once a person is registered for the exams, they will receive and email containing their access to the online testing system plus forms and instructions for scheduling or submitting their practical exam.

NOTE: Unless specified, the exams are not including during the 2-day workshops

Written Exam Format

The online written exam consists of 150 questions divided into 7 sections. The test is timed. 20 Minutes is provided for each section. All 7 sections must be completed within a 2.5 hour time period.

• Physiology
• Periodization and Targeted Training
• Indoor Program Design
• Presentation Skills

Individuals MUST received a minimum score of 70% on each individual test section plus an overall score of 80% or higher to pass.

If an individual fails the written test but passes the practical, only the written test must be re-taken.
